Betaine
Betaine is obtained from sugar beet. Betaine’s most important characteristic for the human body is that it maintains the desired volume of water. That’s important when having a blemished skin, because cells with an optimal water content offer more resistance to bacteria that can cause zits and blackheads. It’s shown that the right balance between betaine and water restrains irritations of the skin very effectively.
Dimethylisosorbide
This ingredient is obtained from apples, pears, prunes or other fruits. It helps the previously mentioned pentylene glycol to transport the unique beta-glucans in the formula to the problem causing bacteria. The active components penetrate deep into the skin, there where they are needed.
Hydroxyethylcellulose
This ingredient is made of cotton and wood fibres. It is used to thicken the formula, so the liquid doesn’t drip when applying or leaks when carrying the serum with you 24/7. It optimises the serum to minimise the chance of zits and blackheads. It also helps to prevent a blemished skin and supports its recovery.
